The Electrolux AirFryPlus Tray is a premium oven accessory that I worked on during my time at Electrolux Home Products.
Included in the Electrolux Ultimate Taste 60 and 90 cm Oven ranges, the AirFryPlus function uses a specially designed basket, with added steam. Food is crispier on the outside, as the humidity transfers heat better into the food, and it is healthier as it requires less oil. This technique also cooks faster, saving energy.
This projects provided some interesting challenges around creating a premium accessory that is elegant in form, and practical in function. A floating bezel gives an impression that the basket is floating on the counter top, and a stainless mesh enables ease of cleaning.
